St Davids Trust

Nearly 250 guests attended the 3rd St Davids Charity Ball held at Claridges, London on 1st November 2007. Following a champagne reception and sumptious dinner, fundraising in earnest was overseen by guest auctioneer Lord Jeffrey Archer. As a result of the auction/raffles and other fundraising initiatives, proceeds in excess of £125k were raised. Additionally, specific pledges were kindly donated which will enable each of the communities houses to be equipped with Internet and Email capability to the direct benefit of residents and staff.

Master of Ceremonies for the evening, Sky News presenter, Rob Curling introduced Director Lyn Hall MBE, who spoke about the continuing challenges facing the charity. Entertainment was provided by Rick Astley and his new band The Fugitives.

In summary a most enjoyable evening and by far our most successful fundraising event!
