St Davids Care in the Community 4th Annual fund-raising gala dinner was held at The Dorchester on Thursday Nov 13th. This years event was the largest to date with some 360 guests sitting down to dinner. Co Founder Lyn Hall MBE was joined on her table by Maureen Jones from the St Davids staff, and a number of parents.

A champagne reception was followed by a three course dinner which featured Roast fillet of pure bred Aberdeen Angus from a company called Orkney's best who heavily discounted their price in direct support of Lyn & Mair's work.

Lord Archer once again acted as auctioneer and auctioned lots which included a MINI ONE 1.4, Golf with Sir Garfield Sobers in Barbados, a Kuoni holiday in the Maldives, two Lasik eye surgery's performed by Professor Dan Reinstein the leading eye surgeon in the UK, Dan was once again in attendance.

Proceeds from this and other fund-raising activities on the evening will be used for the direct benefit of the communities residents and amongst other things will enable the improvement to the residents transport. On this note one of our guests was so touched by the evening and the film which was shown, that he will be donating a brand new 8 seater people carrier. A truly amazing gesture.
