What we offer

It has always been one of the aims of St. Davids Care in the Community (CITC) to ensure that residents of all our registered homes have the opportunity to follow as wide a range of social activities as is possible. On offer are campanology and handbells; membership in the Women’s Institute and Red Cross; playing musical instruments; sewing; knitting; long stitch; gardening; swimming; ten-pin bowling; fitness training; music, art and craft and drama therapy; and computers. Residents are given opportunities to access local amenities such as cinemas; theatre; local restaurants and pubs, all with staff support as needed. St. Davids CITC’s own minibuses are regularly used for transport, should residents wish to use them.

It has always been a primary aim that residents have as much contact with relatives and friends as they want. To this end, families are welcome to visit at any time and arrangements are made for residents to visit their own families at least 3 times a year. We encourage contact through written letters, emails and the telephone.

All residents have single, lockable bedrooms and staff respect their privacy. All doors are knocked before entering. Individuals can lock their rooms when they are not occupied and lock them when in residence if they so desire.
